CNC Maintenance Specialist

Position Overview
Our robust growth now requires an experienced CNC Maintenance Specialist. We are looking for a healthy, non-smoking, drug free, hard-working and happy person who wants to excel in the best environment with a dynamic team! .
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance & Repair
- Diagnose and repair CNC machines including 3, 4, and 5-axis machining centers
- Perform maintenance on brands such as Mazak, OKK, Doosan, Hurco, and similar equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Repair or replace components including spindles, ball screws, motors, drives, and sensors
Preventative Maintenance
- Execute and improve preventative maintenance schedules for all CNC equipment
- Perform routine inspections, lubrication, calibration, and adjustments
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records
Troubleshooting & Diagnostics
- Utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify root causes of machine issues
- Interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, and machine documentation
- Respond quickly to machine downtime and prioritize critical repairs
Controls & Systems
- Support and troubleshoot CNC controls (Fanuc, Mazatrol, Hurco, etc.)
- Assist with software updates, parameter backups, and machine configurations
- Work with automation systems, probes, and tool monitoring systems
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve machine reliability and reduce downtime
- Recommend upgrades or process improvements to increase efficiency
- Collaborate with machinists, programmers, and engineering teams
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Ensure machines operate within compliance for aerospace/defense standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years experience in CNC machine maintenance
- Strong knowledge of:
- CNC machining centers (3, 4, 5-axis)
- Electrical systems (motors, drives, wiring)
- Mechanical systems (spindles, bearings, ball screws)
- Ability to read and interpret:
- Electrical schematics
- Mechanical drawings
- Hands-on troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment
Preferred
- Experience with Mazak, OKK, Doosan, Hurco equipment
- Familiarity with Fanuc, Mazatrol, or Hurco controls
- Background in aerospace or defense manufacturing
- Experience with preventative maintenance systems (CMMS)

Key Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Must know Mazatrol control and Mazak Integrex machines
- 5-Axis Turn / Mill experience required
- Mastercam a plus
- Must be familiar with G and M codes
- Will be required to program, set-up and run
- Prototype and limited production machining experience required
- Must be able to read 2D prints and 3D models
- Must know GD&T
- 10 years minimum experience

Key Responsibilities
Safety Program Management
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining company safety policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable state/local regulations
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments
Training & Communication
- Lead employee safety training (new hire orientation, ongoing safety programs, toolbox talks)
- Promote safety awareness and engagement across all departments
- Maintain safety training records and documentation
Incident Prevention & Response
- Investigate workplace incidents, near-misses, and injuries
- Identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Track and report safety metrics and trends
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain OSHA logs (300, 300A, 301) and safety records
- Support internal and external audits
- Ensure proper documentation for inspections and regulatory requirements
Workplace Safety Oversight
- Monitor shop floor activities to ensure adherence to safety practices
- Ensure proper use of PPE (personal protective equipment)
- Identify hazards related to machinery, materials, and workflows
Continuous Improvement
- Recommend and implement improvements to reduce risk and enhance safety performance
- Partner with leadership and employees to build a strong safety culture
- Support ergonomics and workplace efficiency initiatives
Qualifications
Required
- 2–5 years experience in a safety role within light industrial or manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of OSHA standards and safety regulations
- Strong communication and training skills
- Ability to identify hazards and implement practical solutions
Preferred
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Health, or related field
- OSHA certifications (e.g., OSHA 30)
- Experience with incident investigation and reporting
- Familiarity with machine safety, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and hazard communication

Key Responsibilities
Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Lead and maintain cybersecurity programs aligned with CMMC 2.0+, NIST 800-171, and ITAR requirements
- Ensure ongoing compliance through audits, documentation, and continuous monitoring
- Identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity risks across all systems
- Manage incident response planning, detection, and remediation
- Oversee vulnerability management, penetration testing, and threat monitoring
IT Infrastructure & Operations
- Oversee all IT systems including servers, networks, cloud environments, and endpoints
- Ensure high availability, performance, and security of infrastructure
- Manage backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning

- Network security, firewalls, endpoint protection
- Risk management and compliance frameworks
- Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or defense environments
Preferred
- Certifications such as:
