Aerospace Process Engineer

We are looking for a healthy, non-smoking, drug free, hard-working and happy workers who want to excel in the best environment with a dynamic team! Pay range is $30 – $40+

Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Ability to analyze and utilize 2D and 3D prints and models
  • Break down engineering processes into individual operations to manufacture components for aerospace and defense industry
  • Document set-up sheets and maintain accuracy as changes or improvements are made
  • Communicates with Engineering Supervisor while new projects are in the processing phase

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree in relevant engineering and/or five years of Process Engineering experience required
  • Machining experience is a plus
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Mastercam or other computer-aided drafting tool

We are seeking an experienced Burr/Saw Hand to join our precision machining team. This role is essential in preparing raw materials and finished parts for production by cutting stock to size, removing sharp edges, and ensuring parts are clean and ready for machining or shipment.

The right candidate will have strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work in an aerospace precision machining environment. Pay range: $18 – 24 depending on experience.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Operate horizontal and vertical band saws to cut raw material to specified dimensions for CNC machining
  • Deburr and finish machined parts by removing sharp edges, burrs, and imperfections using hand tools, power tools, and machines
  • Inspect materials and finished parts to confirm accuracy to specifications and quality standards
  • Maintain saws, burr tools, and equipment in good working condition
  • Follow all safety protocols and use proper PPE in a machining shop environment
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and efficient

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a CNC machining or manufacturing shop
  • Ability to read and interpret basic measurements, shop paperwork, and work instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Mechanical aptitude or interest in machining is a plus

Responsible for inspecting: 1st piece, in-process and final inspection. Utilizing hand tools for bench checks along with Hexagon PCDMIS CMMs and FARO Laser Arm to obtain inspection results. Pay range is between $30-40 hourly, depending on experience.

Duties include, but are not limited to: 

  • Program and Operate CMMs with PC-DMIS measurement software
  • Knowledge of FARO Laser Arm with PolyWorks software a plus

We are seeking experienced MX Mill Machinists to join our precision machining team on 1st and 2nd shifts. This role involves setting up, operating MX Mills to produce high-quality parts to tight tolerances.

The ideal candidate has a strong machining background, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and efficiency in an aerospace CNC shop. $23-$40 pay range, depending on experience.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Set up and operate MX Mill to produce parts per specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
  • Select and install tooling, fixtures, and offsets for production runs
  • Perform first-piece inspections and in-process checks using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
  • Monitor machine operations, adjust feeds and speeds, and troubleshoot issues to maintain quality
  • Deburr and finish parts as needed to meet quality standards
  • Maintain equipment by performing routine cleaning, minor maintenance, and reporting issues
  • Follow shop safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of CNC milling experience preferred (MX Mill experience a plus)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Strong knowledge of machining practices, and cutting tools
  • Proficiency with precision measuring instruments
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a production environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

United CNC Machining is seeking an experienced Gage Control Specialist.  We are looking for a healthy, non-smoking, drug free, hard-working and happy person who wants to excel in the best environment with a dynamic team. Pays $25-35 per hour.

We are a leading supplier of CNC machined airborne components to space, aero, and defense industries. Our team produces complex, tight-tolerance parts with the highest standards of quality and accuracy. We’re expanding our operations and looking for a Gage Control Specialist to maintain and calibrate more than 600 gages.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain and manage the gage calibration program for all precision measuring equipment (PME)
  • Schedule, track, and document calibrations
  • Inspect and verify calibration certificates to ensure compliance with AS9100D and other customer requirements
  • Maintain electronic and physical records of calibration data, traceability, and expiration schedules
  • Tag, label, and track gages with unique IDs for full traceability
  • Perform routine audits of measuring equipment across departments
  • Work closely with Quality, Production, and Engineering teams to resolve gage-related issues
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace and AS9100D standards
  • Assist in internal and external quality audits related to measurement and inspection processes
  • Support continuous improvement projects related to measurement accuracy, tool control, and process reliability

Qualifications

Required:

  • 2+ years of experience in gage control, quality, or calibration within a manufacturing or CNC environment
  • Strong understanding of calibration standards (NIST traceability, ISO 17025)
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, indicators, height gages, CMM, etc.)
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel or database systems for tracking and recordkeeping
  • Clear understanding of AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality systems

Preferred:

  • Experience in the aerospace machining industry
  • Familiarity with quality software systems (like GAGEtrak, GAGEpack, or similar)
  • Metrology or quality-related certification a plus

  • General inspection with hand measurement tools such as micro heights, micrometers, calipers, gage pins, gage blocks and thread gages
  • Duties include, but are not limited to, 1st piece inspection, in-process and final inspection of complex machined parts and gage control
  • PC-DMIS measurement software for CMM and roamer
  • Knowledge of FARO Laser Arm with PolyWorks software a plus

The Skilled 2nd Shift Plant Foreman directs evening operations in our best-in-class CNC machining facility. This role requires both strong leadership and advanced technical expertise in CNC machining, ensuring production goals are met while upholding strict quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Supervision

  • Lead and supervise CNC machinists and operators on 2nd shift
  • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and coach team members for skill development
  • Maintain discipline and enforce company policies consistently

Technical Expertise

  • Perform and oversee machine setups and program adjustments
  • Troubleshoot complex machining issues and provide hands-on technical guidance
  • Verify part quality through blueprint reading, GD&T interpretation, and inspection tools

Production Oversight

  • Ensure adherence to production schedules and on-time delivery of parts
  • Optimize machine utilization and reduce downtime
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records

Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Uphold our robust quality standards
  • Drive process improvements, efficiency gains, and cost reductions
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action when defects occur

Safety & Maintenance

  • Enforce strict safety policies and ensure a hazard-free work environment
  • Oversee preventive maintenance and coordinate major repairs with maintenance teams

Communication & Reporting

  • Provide detailed end-of-shift reports to management

  • 10+ years CNC machining experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or lead role
  • Deep knowledge of CNC machine operation, programming, tooling, and setups
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, GD&T, and using precision measuring equipment
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices

Work Schedule

  • Full-time, 2nd shift (afternoon through evening)
  • Overtime and weekend availability as required

Physical Requirements

  • Stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
